A Prayer For The Strength to Let Go
As I call on Your holy name, I’m asking You to strengthen my spirit and help me to let go of my desire to play God.
I have tried to control and direct the scenes of my life that can only be crafted by You. Time and time again, I failed.
I have tried to carry the weight of my pain that can only be healed by You. Time and time again, I failed.
Help me, Lord, to give you back the role of God in my life.
Help me to accept the things I do not have the power to change.
Reveal to me the things I do have the power to change, and strengthen me along my journey of walking out the vision You have placed in my spirit.
Lord, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Thy will consume my heart, mind, spirit, and soul.
Rid me of my own will and saturate my heart with Your perfect will and purpose for my life.
Today, I let go of Your role.
Today, I assume my position as a child of the Most High God.
Today, Your peace will surpass all my understanding.
Today, I have the strength to let go.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10
