Use My Pain For a Purpose Prayer
I have come to realize that my pain can no longer hold me bound.
My pain can no longer paralyze my movement.
My pain, in Your hands, can propel me with purpose.
My pain, in Your hands, can serve as a resource to other women who need living proof that purpose, indeed, lives and thrives on the other side of pain.
Help me, Lord, to see my potential beneath my scars.
Help me to let go of my fear-driven desire to build walls around the gifts, passions, and visions You have given me.
Help me to acknowledge the times I have self-sabotaged opportunities and relationships. Give me the strength to mend what I once deemed as broken.
As hard as it is for me to revisit the pain that has left me bruised. Help me, Lord, to sit with my pain, unapologetically hurt and release the burden of perfection I have placed on myself.
It’s OK to hurt.
It’s OK to feel anger.
It’s OK to feel disappointment.
But those feelings will not dictate my direction; those feelings will not write my story. My pain is not my identity.
I am growing. I am overcoming. I am healing.
And I wholeheartedly trust You will use my pain for a purpose.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, and I believe.
Amen, Amen, Amen.
