How it started . . .

Every God-given promise has a process. I created this page as a remember to both you and me that every step we take holds purpose, even when we doubt its impact. - Shandice Stallworth

In 2015, I created a pretty graphic in Canva, decorated with a thick black border and a perfectly drawn flower. I then added a touch of yellow to represent the light I hoped my words would spark. Instinctively I typed “Dear Purposeful Woman” for the very first time and shared an intimate quote straight from the heart. Shortly after, I started a Facebook group to encourage women along their purposeful journey to becoming all they were created to be. I posted video challenges and inspirational posts while inviting other women to uncover and embrace their God-given purpose with courage.

Pray. Meditate. Speak Life Challenge

In 2016, I launched the Dear Purposeful Woman Monthly Newsletter and created my first workbook for a 1-month challenge to help women exercise the power of prayer, stillness, and speaking words that move us and others. 50+ women joined me in this challenge, and it truly marked the beginning of a movement of courage.

That year, I also launched an annual book giveaway!

More Inspiration, More Resources, More Community

In 2017, I continued creating purposeful resources, sharing inspiration on social media, and launched my first book club study.

Purpose-Driven, Woman on a Mission

Pictured or not, I’m grateful for all the women who participated in this campaign. Your support will always hold a special place in my heart. - Shandice Stallworth

In 2018, I launched the first Dear Purposeful Woman campaign. The purpose of this campaign was to encourage women around the world to commit to the process of uncovering and embracing their God-given purpose with courage. The DPW community purchased t-shirts and confidently shared their missions on social media and beyond.

Circle of Transformation

In 2019, I led my first Dear Purposeful Woman program. This program was designed to bring intimate groups of women together online from all walks of life to talk, laugh, reflect, heal, and grow. I guided women through my 4-part framework to embark on a journey of sustainable transformationstarting from the inside out. We spent time rewriting the limiting stories we tell ourselves, uncovering our purpose and mission for this season of our life, building an authentic relationship with God, and forming fruitful habits that are sustainable for the future.

T E S T I M O N I A L S

The Dear Purposeful Women Circle of Transformation Program was more than I could have imagined it would be! I chose to participate because the purpose of the program aligned with the self-development and fulfillment journey I was on. It incorporated finding my purpose and understanding my callingnot just what my skills for a career were. My favorite part was the community element, as it assisted me in understanding and accepting pieces of my own journey. And I truly enjoyed the weekly discussions and the tools provided each week.

This program taught me to be more intentional about appreciating my ‘present situations’ and committing to the process vs. the outcome. Shandice provides a beautiful framework for you to take beyond this program to make sustainable, positive life changes.

I joined the program because I was at a point in my life where I was extremely overwhelmed and feeling like my cup had run dry. I needed to allow someone else to pour into me and that's what this program did! I learned the importance of taking time to explore who I am, what I like or dislike, and question why I act or react the way that I do. Learning that I tell myself stories is helping me to adjust my inner narrative and therefore have a better influence on those around me.

Write Your Way Through It

In 2020, Write Your Way Through It was birthed in the midst of our global pandemic. What started as an opportunity to bring women worldwide together online for intentional moments of pause, intimate letter-writing sessions, and soulful exercises has transformed into an intentional opportunity to experience collective healing. Women from England, Nigeria, Canada, the Bahamas, and the United States joined for the most beautiful healing experience I have ever witnessed. Learn more about DPW Workshops here.

Courageous Words for You & Me

In 2021, I published my first book, a dream that has been in my heart since I was 17 years old. For so long, I believed I needed a “big audience” to share my words with the world, but over time, I realized my words would always find those who need them most.

I cannot wait to share vol. 2 with you all!

How It’s Going…

I spent much of 2022 and 2023 wondering if I could really do this. Can Dear Purposeful Woman truly become all I dream it to be? In many ways, this fear paralyzed my movement and slowly pulled me into a state of hiding. I have now come to accept this season as an important part of my journey and process. I won’t give up on this vision of mine: to witness women liberated from their past, pain, and insecurities and excited about who they were created to be.

I’m dusting off my shoulders and getting back up again.

Every God-given promise has a process, and this, Dear Purposeful Woman, is a pivotal part of mine.
