Write Your Way Through It.

Write Your Way Through It is Shandice's signature Dear Purposeful Woman workshop, birthed in May 2020 in the midst of our global pandemic. What started as an opportunity to bring women worldwide together online for intentional moments of pause, intimate letter-writing sessions, and soulful exercises has transformed into an intentional opportunity to experience collective healing.

DPW Workshops create a courageous space for women to share their stories, heal from their past, and embrace the beauty of our present. Each exercise is purposefully curated to help transform our lives from the inside out and inspire us to welcome God's love, purpose, courage, and growth in all areas of our lives.

A courageous and sacred space for purposeful women to break through the walls of their past, pain, and insecurities, and birth the truth of who they are.

The Virtual Experience

Testimonials

I have been able to experience such deep levels of healing, freedom, and joy that I am only beginning to understand.

Thank you so much, Shandice, for hosting this workshop and for creating a space to connect with women from around the world, hear the voice of God, and be encouraged! Thank you for showing me the importance of unpacking my pain from the past, and for creating a space to process and step into my God-given purpose. I am forever grateful!

Jasmine, California, U.S.

“The Write Your Way Through It workshop was LIBERATING for me. I feel lighter. I feel free.”

It was a deliverance session. I had been carrying some heavyweights that had me mentally overwhelmed, and they were chipped off. I feel lighter. I feel free. I left with an action plan of what to do next and have already started working on it. The workshop has taught me how to decipher where I'm at, understand what the Lord is trying to get across to me, and just be in tune with the Father more. I have so much to say that I cannot put in words.

Yami, Lagos, Nigeria

“Thank you for helping us see ourselves and others the way God sees us.”

With all the chaos going on around us, today I witnessed God move in 14 other women and myself as we wrote to our inner pain and broke generational curses. Thank you, Dear Purposeful Woman for allowing this kind of community to exist.

Shavonti, Georgia, U.S.

“Such an uplifting and transformative time spent with purposeful women. I walked away with so many gems.”

Thank you for being obedient to the call on your life.

Sorayah, Ontario, Canada

“It was absolutely magical. Words can't express how grateful, blessed, and moved I feel after this workshop.”

Truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to examine the heart and connect with other courageous women! I feel like I was crying for myself and every woman there...not to mention how inspired and proud I felt for every single woman who had the courage to really show up. Unlike anything I've ever felt.

Leez, Minnesota, U.S.

“3.5 hours of pure authenticity, healing, and empowerment with 13 beautiful women.”

After the workshop, I was reflecting, and God revealed that He healed me from self-rejection. I didn’t realize that this was an issue. But God showed me it was more than the harsh self-criticism that I struggled with. I feel so much more powerful, confident, and ready to be all God called me to be.

The In-person Experience

Testimonials

“The Write Your Way Through It workshop is one that I will never forget!”

This workshop allowed me to sit with my pain and speak to it and allow it to speak back to me! I have never done that before until participating in this workshop. This has been something I’ve done continually since the workshop, and it has been so therapeutic. I’m so fortunate to know that it’s okay to feel pain and then HEAL.

Shardae, Connecticut, U.S.

“Shandice had us go back to get the little girl that went through so much pain and hurt and carry her to where we are now, and wow, that was my breakthrough.”

I am still in awe of how God moved and used this beautiful woman of God to speak to me at the right time of where I am on this Christian walk.

Danielle, Connecticut, U.S.

“Her way of sharing her gift of writing allowed me to begin to write from an authentic place. The words were healing wounds that once left me speechless.”

The affirmation she encouraged us to write is still the affirmation that charges me up daily. “I will stay in position” has been my testimony ever since I landed back home.

Sazjanee, Connecticut, U.S.

“The self-love and care that I learned and took home with me through Shandice’s Write Your Way Through It workshop has given me skills I use every day in my own healing and understanding God’s love for his daughters.”

I so connected with her personal story she shared with us, but the note cards, reminders, and parts of her book she so graciously gave us forever changed my perspective of how I see myself.

Carolyn, Georgia, U.S.

“Shandice gave me an experience that I will never forget with her workshop.”

There are many things I took away from her workshop, including her new book, that has really blessed me. The workshop allowed me to dig deep into some things that were tucked away, and I honestly enjoyed every aspect of her work and how sincere she is as she helps you tackle what the workshop requires.

Jillian, Connecticut, U.S.

“I was able to see pain from a different perspective while being given action steps on how to move forward on my inner healing journey.”

I thoroughly enjoyed engaging in this transformative experience. It is definitely one that I will keep in my healing toolbox and will revisit often.

Behind the Workshop

Shandice, your workshop facilitator

As a purpose-driven writer, I’ve devoted the last decade to helping women courageously transform their lives from the inside out. I care about our voices—I care about us breaking through the walls of our past, pain, and insecurities to create a life that radiates our God-given purpose.

I have a diverse background in TV production and marketing and a master’s degree in social science, which informs much of my work with women. I’m a lover of tea and poetic words who simply desires to become all God has created me to be and use my gifts to inspire others and glorify Him.
